France, Carnet des 12 zodiacs lunairs

This one is gift from my friend living in France. He gave me a 12 lunar sign booklet.

This booklet designed by Li Zhongyao, was issued in 2017, year of the Rooster.

About the lunar new year stamp of LaPoste, they released a serie from 2005 (Year of the Rooster) to 2016 (Year of the Monkey), a circle of 12 animal signs. All of them was designed by Li Zhongyao, a chinese artist. LaPoste said once that lunar new year serie would be released in one 12-year-circle, and the artist Li had contract with LaPoste for ten year. Actually, Mr Li designed for that serie up to 12 years. And it seems that there are still a lot of clients waiting for lunar year stamp from LaPoste so they continued with this one.

For 2018, year of the Dog, there is no sign from LaPoste for their clients till now.

This FDC was used the Horse sign from the booklet with the first day postmark. I was born in year of the Horse and the sender still remember it.

Thank you so much my uncle, Tram!

A mon uncle TRAM,

Amicalement!

Vietnam, First mail of 2018,

This is my first mail in this year. My friend in Saigon sent me a dog cover. Actualy, domestic Registered mail or EMS mail in Vietnam, the stamp is not allowed for the postage fee. But you still can use some for decoration only.

She gave me a lot of awesome flower stamps. I collect the definitive flower stamps. German ones are in my favorite list.

Thank you so much Trang! Happy new year to you and your baby!

Taiwan, Postcrossing postmark with Year of the Dog stamp

I got this maxicard recently. The sender used the Year of the Dog maxicard to post. In the back side, the left one from set of 2 Year of the Dog was used for the postage fee. She dropped the special postmark as well: postcrossing postmark with the silhoutte of a dog ( animal lunar sign of next year)  with a lot of mail aroun him.

There are also a lot of sign on the card as well. They are all postcrossers in Taiwan as there was a postcrossing meeting in Taiwan that day and the sender was one of member in that meeting.

As a reminder, Postcrossing is a project created in 2005, allowing its members to send and receive postcards from all over the world. To date, this website includes exactly 713,517 members from 214 different countries and territories. Over 44 million postcards have been receiver since 2005 and 429,305 cards are travelling at this exact moment. The most active countries are the USA, Germany, the Netherlands, Malaysia and Russia.

Unfortunatly, they chopped a stamp ( an advertise) for supporting the poor on the main side, which hided the FDC postmark.

Thank you Chi. This group of lunar issue swap I joined from 2014 for Year of the Goat. See you again next year.

Japan, Year of the Dog 2018 issue

I always love japanese lunar new year issue. They release not only the beautiful design stamps but also very nice first day postmark.

Furthermore, Japan has an abundance of new year cards which is released in serie each year. Here are two unofficial maxicards I got in this mail. The second one I had got the same serie for Year of the Rooster as well.

Thank you so much masako! It is the third time we swap lunar new year issue. Hope to see you again in Year of the Pig.

Taiwan, Year of the Dog issue,

This FDC made my day. There are about 14 different first day postmark for this issue in Taiwan and they were distribuated to different post. The sender dropped two of them on my cover. I like the black dog one. The silhoutte of the black dog looks stronger and intelligent.

Thank you Huang for this support!

Vietnam, Tết Mậu Tuất 2018 - Year of the Dog issue
